After spending some time at the Timberline Lodge, the artist was inspired to capture the scene that was often found around the lodge’s cozy fireplaces. In the small bronze sculpture, a young girl nestles against a St. Bernard, and the viewer is taken to that rustic mountain retreat where peace and quiet are always welcomed.
