STEP 11: Removing the Ceramic Mold

Once cooled, the ceramic mold is broken away from the bronze. The gating system, now also cast in bronze, is then removed from the sculpture to be melted down and used again for another project. The surface of the bronze is sandblasted, which frees the crevices of any ceramic residue.
