Work In Progress

"Natural Partners"

In researching the blue heron, Rip found that they not only mate for life like the Canadian Goose; they also share all parenting duties. This includes all stages, from nest building and egg incubation to feeding and safety of the new hatchlings. Rip was able to capture this wonderful element along with grace and beauty in this perfectly sized sculpture. Now at the foundry, this piece is selling out quickly in pre-cast! Only fifteen in the edition.

 "White Tail"

Prematurely named "White Tail" until a more befitting title is found, this magnificent buck was crafted to this point by Rip during one sleepless night in the studio. Inspired by many conversations with other wildlife enthusiasts, Rip decided to sculpt the white tail deer which is found across the United States in many areas outside of Rip's own state of Oregon. The buck is shown at rest, while in full alert to his surroundings and the possible dangers that coexist.
