"Ascending Christ"

The Ascending Christ is Rip's latest commission for the Diocese of Wichita in Kansas. This monument will stand 12 feet tall when completed and will be placed on top of a 20 ft granite pillar, overlooking the Ascension Cemetery, also in Wichita, KS. Rip was commissioned last year to sculpt the image of Mary, Joseph and The Crucifixion for the Diocese and feels that this image of Christ ascending into Heaven, completes the full circle. The monument is scheduled for completion in late fall of 2013 and will be unveiled at the Cemetery in November in conjunction with All Saint's Day.

"Safe Harbor"

This sweet sculpture is of a sea otter and her pup, who is shown asleep on her belly while she floats on the surface of the sea. Rip wanted to honor mothers with this composition, which reflects the love and the protecting essence of all living matriarchs; whether human or animal.

"Admiral Chester W. Nimitz Memorial"

After a nation wide search, Rip was selected by the Naval Order of the U.S. to create a larger than life sculpture of Five-star Admiral Chester W. Nimitz for installation at the USS Missouri War Memorial in Pearl Harbor, HI.

The sculpture is in progress and on display in the Studio until the end of March, 2013, at which time it will be sent to the foundry for casting. It is scheduled for unveiling in Pearl Harbor on Sept. 2nd, 2013.
